FAQ
how much do your services cost?
When you come in for your complimentary consultation, we will go over your desired results and I will make my recommendations to help you achieve your cosmetic goals. At that time, we will discuss a range of personalized options.
how should i prepare for my treatment?
Avoid medications that are, or that act as, blood thinners for 7 days prior to treatment and for 3 days after as these may increase your chances of bruising.. These medications include: Ibuprofen (Motrin or Advil), Aspirin, Naproxen (Aleve), Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba, St John’s Wort, and Omega-3 Fish Oil. Inform your doctor if you are on any prescription blood thinning medications (do not stop taking prescription medications unless specifically instructed to do so).
Do not drink alcohol or take Vitamin E the day before and the day after your treatment as this can also increase bruising.
Schedule your treatment at least 2 weeks prior to a big event to allow the results to fully appear and so that any bruising has time to resolve.
Be sure to have a good breakfast/lunch on the day of your procedure. This will reduce the chance of any lightheadedness during the procedure.
Avoid retinol and glycolic acid for 48 hours before and after treatment.
is there anything i need to avoid after my treatment?
Do NOT undergo any facial/laser treatments or microdermabrasion after Botox/filler injections for at least 10 days.
Refrain from heavy exercise for 24 hours after your treatment.
Avoid lying down for 4 hours after your injections.
Avoid rubbing the areas that have been treated with the neuromodulator for the first 48 hours.
Avoid retinol and glycolic acid for 48 hours after treatment.
Avoid extensive sun or heat for 72 hours after treatment.
Is there anything I can do to help maximize the effects of my aesthetic treatments?
You may notice small areas of redness and/or small bumps at the injection sites immediately following your treatment. These will resolve quickly, usually within 15 minutes. If the swelling persists, you can apply a cool compress for 15 minutes each hour. Also try to sleep slightly elevated.
It can be helpful to make facial expressions purposely after receiving your neuromodulator treatment, such as smiling and frowning to help the medication find its way into the muscle.
You may apply makeup after any pinpoint bleeding has resolved.
You can take Tylenol for any discomfort you have following the procedure.
Ask Dr. Nayan for any specialized skincare products that can help to minimize bruising and help to further maintain the effects of the aesthetic treatments.
If you tend to bruise easily, you may take Arnica Montana (SinEcch) immediately after your treatment as well as starting 2 days before your treatment. For the remaining pills, please follow the directions behind each capsule. You can obtain Arnica without a prescription at some pharmacies and most health food/nutritional supplement stores.
A follow-up aesthetic enhancement may be necessary in 1 to 2 weeks. Make a mental note of the effect your treatment has achieved. Injection sites and dosages can be altered to achieve the ideal result for you. For this reason, we recommend that you make a follow-up appointment for 2 to 4 weeks after your treatment so that we can evaluate your results and determine if any adjustments to your dose need to be made.
